Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day October 2017

Turk's Cap has been blooming for several months, and the butterflies are loving it!
Lantana is a reliable bloomer that endures our hot Summer temperatures without complaint and keeps on going into Autumn.
Since Morning Glory Vines self-seed they appear in new places each year. This one is mixed in with my Cypress Vine.
There are still a lot of buds on my Morning Glory Bush. We have perhaps two weeks before the first frost. Hope that is enough time for them to open.
My Tuberous Begonia is in a hanging basket on my front porch. Soon I will bring it indoors.
Munstead Red Stonecrop, Sedum telephium, is a recent purchase.
Remember to include bird song in your garden. Feed them, they will come!

Wonderful colours - we have just had a first really warm weekend - so the butterflies here will be out and about soon. (goes to dust his macro lens).

ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little titmouse! I usually don't see them here until winter. Lots of lovely blooms--I agree about the Lantana; it handles the heat with no problem and is still looking great in November. I wish I could say the same about my other annuals:) Happy Bloom Day!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty blooms and I love your captures of the butterfly and Titmouse. I haven't seen that particular variety of butterfly before and it is so pretty! I also enjoyed your new addition of Munstead Red Stonecrop to the garden with its bright color! It was a lovely visit as always.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers and the titmouse is so cute! Birdsong should be a must for any garden I would think. I remember falling in love with lantana when we first stayed in Texas one winter -- it's not a plant we see up here in the NW and so that was our first introduction. It still seems exotic to me, even though we see it more often nowadays when we're in Florida.
