I had never seen this bird before, and have not seen it again since I made this photo. I live in the northeastern corner of Mississippi. Thank you for any suggestions to help ID this bird.
Have a wonderful week-end!

Hello, beautiful bird and photo. The beak does not look like a warbler's beak. I am tossed between the Oriole and the Tanager. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDelete...what a cute little thing.
ReplyDeleteA great photo of a sweet yellow bird!
ReplyDeleteI was sure that Eileen would know! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what it is, but I do know that is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a sweet little thing!
ReplyDeleteI dont know what it is, but it does seem to have a big beak for its size!

I am pretty sure it's a tanager...perhaps a very YOUNG scarlet tanager [or female]
ReplyDeleteGoogle scarlet tanager photos and maybe you might find some that are identical.
Your post, and sharing, is always appreciated. I thank you for stopping by and adding your link this weekend at I'd Rather B Birdin'.
Anni is always so great at id ing birds! I was wondering about that beak too! What a fabulous sighting and great photos my friend. Well done!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bird -- I'd go with whatever Eileen and Anni say, they're the experts. My son sent me a link to a FaceBook page called "What's This Bird" though which I tried once. Seemed like helpful people there too.
