I've never grown okra before, so I had no idea it had such pretty flowers! All those tomatoes look yummy--we're just picking our first ripe ones here.

ReplyDeleteThe flower is gorgeous and I love adding orca or lady fingers , as what it is called here in Singapore, into my cooking.
ReplyDeleteSuch colorful shots...I didn't know okra had such a beautiful bloom

ReplyDeleteI love the fresh and crisp taste of vegetables that are home-grown. There is nothing as tasty as that. I too did not know that kale produces such a lovely flower. thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI miss not having a garden this year. Beautiful veggies.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty flower!
ReplyDeleteLea, thank you for the Monday Mural suggestion for that grafitti post I had! Who knew? And I totally love the okra flower and had no idea at all that the flower was so very pretty. Your garden looks so healthy and the produce delicious.

ReplyDeleteOkra is a popular item in South Louisiana -- but I must confess, I've never seen its flower. Thank you for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteI never got around to planting okra this year. Don't know why really - it is a great plant to grow, both for its ornamental value and for tasty eating.
ReplyDeleteI starting eating okra very young, I love it. My S.C. grandfather's plants would tower over my head with the lovely hibiscus flowers. It's not hot enough to grow it well where I live, sadly, though I did plant some pathetic little plants this year. At least I can buy it now.
ReplyDeleteWe love eating okra too, and I think the bloom resembles cotton blossoms.
