The Hydrangaes are lovely in the early morning light.

  4. That must be the most beautiful butterfly bush I've ever seen! You have brilliant colors in your garden.

  5. Gladioli are so pretty. Good ones will come back year after year for a pleasant summer surprise. I wish I'd planted some this spring.

I always forget to plant Nasturtiums when it is time and then envy everybody's when they bloom.

  8. Your butterfly bush is beautiful! The butterflies must love such a pretty landing pad. And those blue hydrangea blooms--I'm so jealous. All mine turn pink in our alkaline soil. Happy Bloom Day!

  9. Wow, you are miles ahead of us here in London, the cold weather is still slowing us down. Loved your pink gladioli, I used to grow them but they didn’t bloom much after a couple of years so I dug them up and have never replaced them. I think I must get some new! I am thinking of getting a gardenia, there is a hardy double one for our climate, quite new, I just have to have it for my garden :-)
    Happy GBBD!

  10. Glads are one of my favorites. If you check out the 'about me' page on my blog, I think you'll understand why. My mom exposed me to them at a very young age! Great garden pics. Thanks for sharing.

  14. These are all beautiful. Butterfly bushes usually end up dying on our place. I plant Louisiana Chase Tree, cause it reminds me of them.

  15. You are ahead of me in the cold night temps PNW. My butterfly bush isn't blooming yet. It seems the Swallowtails show up about the time it finally blooms, that makes it a special occasion. I would love to grow Gardenias but have tried a couple of times with "hardy" cultivars and have lost them, it's great to see yours, but wish I could smell them as well! One year we had erratic cold temps and all my Hydrangeas died. I guess there are some hardier ones that mainly bloom all white, I haven't warmed up to that yet so wonderful to see yours blooming. Lovely!
