I made this photo of a female Red-bellied Woodpecker,
Melanerpes carolinus, through my dining room window. Red-bellied Woodpeckers can be found in much of the eastern half of the United States. You may attract them to your yard by hanging suet feeders.
I hope you have a beautiful day!

ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty.
ReplyDeleteNice to see. We have them too.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot through the window. I have to say its a smart bird and would brighten up any garden
ReplyDeleteThat would be such a treat to have in your garden - or maybe they are as common as sparrows in the UK? Great photo
