The Brown Thrasher,
Toxostoma rufum, is a ground forager who eats insects, seeds, nuts, and berries. Brown Thrashers can imitate a wide variety of other birds' songs, but are not as well known as Mockingbirds because they spend much of their time hidden in dense underbrush (unlike Mockingbirds who sing from the tree tops). Their range includes the eastern and central parts of the United States and southern Canada.
Have a blessed day!

It's a terrific bird, and a local breeder too. I always enjoy seeing them, and to hear them is lovely.
