Wild Bird Wednesday and My Corner of the World

Click on the photos to see them at their best.

Pickwick, Tennessee, USA, June 18, 2021
High atop the electric power structure at Pickwick Dam on the Tennessee River...

... an Osprey nest with an adult and a juvenile! Ospreys, Pandion haliaetus, are large Hawks that dive feet-first into the water to catch fish near the surface. Occasionally, you may see one flying home with a fish clutched in its talons.

I hope you have a beautiful day!

I am linking in today with Wild Bird Wednesday and My Corner of the World

  6. For a minute I thought you had the wrong title when I saw the first image!
How cool that the nest is up there out of danger from the ground.

It's nice to see your link this week at 'My Corner of the World'!
