The Thanksgiving Cactus, Schlumbergera, is a native of Brazil that is grown as a houseplant here in the United States. It and its cousin, the Christmas Cactus (blooms at Christmas), are popular holiday gifts.

  8. The bale of hay in B&W has a whole other texture - I thought, at first, it was concrete. I enjoyed your blue sky even with clouds and I hope the robins enjoy their wintering over where you live (unless yours don't migrate!)

  11. Hi Lea, great 5 pics you have shared. Love the bloom on the cactus! I haven't seen a robin lately although my sister-in-law said she saw a flock of bluebirds and one of robins. I must keep my eyes open and focused!!
