Ginkgo Tree, November 10, 2020

Our World Tuesday and All Seasons

Shiloh, Tennessee, USA, November 8, 2020
This Ginkgo tree, splendid in its Autumn color, is in the Shiloh National Military Park cemetery.

Ginkgo trees are natives of China, but have been introduced to Europe and North America.

The leaves are fan-shaped.

And as they fall - a yellow carpet on the ground!

Have a wonderful day!

I am linking up today with Our World Tuesday and All Seasons

  3. They tend to drop all of their leaves on one day which makes for some great effects.

  6. Just this morning I was talking on the phone to my mother in assisted living and she remembered the Ginkgo tree at her old home in her neighbor's yard. It would drop all of its leaves in one day and the ground would be a yellow carpet. She keeps talking about the past more and more and I listen.
