...lot of soybeans have been harvested here, but lot still to be harvested.
ReplyDelete...what will it take to get the mask message across to some folks?
...we had are first frost last week.
...I haven't seen one in years.
...and I've never seen one!!!
Thanks Lea for stopping by, take care and enjoy your weekend.
Modern harvesting machines are miracles as far as I am concerned.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing better than take photos of peppers is eating them.
For some reason, I regard the sight of a walking stick as a good luck charm. I love them.
I don't know what kind of hawk it is but it is very noble looking. During the coming winter here in Oklahoma we will see them perched silently waiting for a sign of a mouse or other critter that will be their dinner.
The walking stick looks like a stick alright.
ReplyDeleteI wonder do the people who work around the soybean harvest wear masks against all that dust?
Wonderful series of photos ~ love the hawk ~ ^_^

Love the walking stick a lot! I don't know what kind of hawk it is, Lea!
ReplyDeleteLove those mask signs, and beautiful shot of the hawk. May be a Cooper's Hawk??
ReplyDeleteThe hawk is a beauty.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful hawk, and I hope you didn't get your frost - enjoy this time of the year. I'm only a beginner at birding and wouldn't know what type of hawk that is, but it is a lovely capture.
ReplyDeleteThe peppers look delish! I'm surprised you have frost already in Mississippi, though; we've barely had frost here in S. WI. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the NPS mask ads!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteWe are seeing the fields being harvested here too. I like the cute wear a mask signs. Neat sighting of the Walking Stick. The Hawk is beautiful, great shot. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day. Happy weekend to you!
Those mask signs are so great.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos.
I love those masks posters! How neat! And the walking stick is a neat sighting. You've had a good week! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI did a search to try to find those posters but haven't yet! I wanted to see more of them.
ReplyDeleteSuper shots. Love the mask posters

Wow. That stick insect is wonderful. I don't think much of it's name though, one that makes it sound unappreciated as a beautiful and fascinating insect. Not sure about your hawk as it's one we don't get in the UK but it looks like one of the Buteo or Accipiter family.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a broad winged hawk to me. If it seemed a bit "tame" & dodn' t fly off right away, a broad winged. Looks kinda dry during the harvest.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking in with us!
Thanks!
DeleteIt did just sit there and look at me.
What a beautiful hawk! That Devil's Walking Stick is unbelievable...great harvest with your peppers!!!
ReplyDeleteBeen awhile since I have seen a walking stick. Love seeing your photo of one.
ReplyDeleteYour hawk is beautiful! Great harvest of peppers. We're supposed to get snow tonight or tomorrow, too soon. Hope you have a wonderful new week!
ReplyDeleteNice set of picture - the peppers look good.
