Pine Warbler, September 12, 2020

Saturday's Critters and I'd Rather B Birdin'

Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, September 5, 2020
Here in northeast Mississippi, Pine Warblers, Setophaga pinus, are year-round residents, but their migratory range extends north into southeastern Canada and west alongside the Mississippi River. They eat insects, seeds, and fruit.

Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. We have the little Pine Warblers here too but right now we're not seeing as many small birds for some reason. They'll be back soon though. It's HARD to get a good photo of them! You did great!

  3. We only get Pine Warblers here in winter. They are regular visitors to my feeders. I always look forward to their arrival in the late fall.

  5. Pine Warblers are hardy little birds and are among the first warblers to make their way back to Ontario in early spring.
