...we will be in the 80s this weekend, with cool nights. I like Kerria, but it can get rangey. Those seeds fly quite a distance. Praying Mantis and Eastern Bluebird are two critters that I rarely see.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lea for joining the party, take care!
That path calls to me. The blooms and puffy seeds are so pretty. I never see mantis here, nor bluebirds. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love that cute fat little bluebird!
ReplyDeleteHappy early Blog birthday! Love the bluebird, Lea!
ReplyDeleteI love the b&w photo. Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteShiloh looks peaceful.
ReplyDeleteHappy 9th blogoversary (tomorrow). We may actually be warmer than you tomorrow in New York State! I am not familiar with Kerria, I don't think. My favorite was the wildflowre seed puff in black and white, but the bluebird was a close second. And, I've wanted to visit Shiloh for a long time; have just never made it there. It's on my list, though.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I think the kalmia is my favorite. Congrats on the blogaversary.
ReplyDeleteThat are wonderful photos! and your wildlife is so great! The Wildflowers in BW is very nice and and in colorful.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful weekend, Elke
Eastern Bluebird is so cute.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteThe park and forest look beautiful, nice place to visit. The Kerria is new to me, very pretty blooms. Great eye finding the Praying Mantis, I hope the Hummers are on the look out too. The Bluebirds are my favorite, great photos. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Enjoy your day, wishing you a great weekend.
Happy blog anniversary tomorrow! I've sure been happy to be blog buddies with you for all of these years! Love that praying mantis and we have baby bluebirds in our backyard this morning...they are so sweet!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blog Anniversary! Love the blue bird. Yikes, I do not want to see a praying mantis large enough to eat a hummingbird (the praying mantis I saw on my mums a week or 2 ago was green, interesting how their colors vary). Hope you are having a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteVery enjoyable post. The park/forest look like lovely places to visit. That flower was so pretty and the little bird was very cute. Nice shot of the Mantis and wow one big enough to kill a hummingbird, that must be some big bug!
ReplyDeleteA large praying mantis is capable of catching a hummingbird and making it a meal, so smart hummingbirds. Beautiful black and white photo.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with us at I'd Rather B Birdin this week...always appreciated!
ReplyDeleteFun stuff! I'm glad you had a pleasant week. We've had some wonderful weather here in Southern Wisconsin lately, but we're about to face a dramatic shift from hot to very cool weather. Boo. I'm not ready for it. Happy Blogaversary!
ReplyDeleteKerria is a stunning flower..It would be my pleasure if you join my link up party related to gardening here at http://jaipurgardening.blogspot.com/2020/09/garden-affair-flowering-aquatic-plants.html
ReplyDeleteRather like that B/W image of the seeds!
ReplyDeleteHope all is well. Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
