Wild Bird Wednesday and My Corner of the World

Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, June 7, 2020
Green Herons, Butorides virescens, are small migratory Herons that live near shallow water, and are one of the few birds that use tools, dropping feathers, insects, or bread crusts into the water to lure fish near them. Source: All About Birds website

It is amazing to me that when Green Herons extend their necks they are twice as tall!

Have a wonderful day!
