If you are wondering what I did with the smallest potatoes: I washed them and added them unpeeled to a pot of vegetable soup. I just love to see things grow - growing potatoes in containers is easy and fun!

ReplyDeleteAh ha, nice ducks, and very nice potatoes indeed!
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed your bird and butterfly weed pictures this week. Your weather actually sounds a little similar to us but our potatoes are far from harvesting.

a bath...have a great day!
Always exciting to see a monarch on butterfly plants. I don't have much luck photographing them. They are just too fast, but these are beautiful shots!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a Muscovy duck. Unique face. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou have a pretty pond for reflections, Lea. My favorite is the "Muscovy Duck" relaxing after a fine bath in the lake.

I would love to see a Monarch here while our Butterfly weed is in bloom. What a gorgeous butterfly! And I love the duck photo! He looks like he has a mask on in the water! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat duck photo is stunning. And I'm so ready to start seeing monarch butterflies again. We usually don't see them until a bit later in the summer so I need to be patient. I'll just enjoy your photos while I wait. Hope you're having a wonderful weekend so far.
ReplyDeleteFabulous photographs, I love the reflections in your first one.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan

ReplyDeleteYou sharing this post with us at I'd Rather B Birdin this week is much appreciated!
I always enjoy seeing pictures of the Monarch butterfly. We don't get them here in the UK.
ReplyDeleteI usually harvest potatoes in late August or early September where we live. The grow slower, but really big, in our cooler climate. - Margy
