Wild Bird Wednesday and My Corner of the World

Click on the photos to see them at their best.

Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, April 26, 2020
From my car window, I photographed this male Common Grackle, Quiscalus quiscula, taking a bath!

On cloudy days Common Grackles seem to be just another black bird, but in bright sunshine they sparkle!

Have a wonderful day!

  5. You got it in perfect light, Lea. I have noticed the same effect on Starling feathers.
