Oak Tree, new leaves and blooms, Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, April 5, 2020 |
The thing I miss the most is eating in a restaurant. Eating from a carry-out box is just not the same!
Though I am thankful that restaurants are allowed to have their drive-thru carry-out windows open.
I am sad for the families of those who have died from this virus, but happy to hear of those who have recovered. The most disturbing thing that I see is so many businesses closed, so many people unemployed.
May God bless you

Stay well! Ironically the thing I miss the least is eating in a restaurant. We do it infrequently and enjoy creating our own meals. Last night we made Thai fried rice, very simple, and excellent. Eating out of a box would be anathema to me.
ReplyDeleteHello, lovely image! I miss eating out too, carry-out just isn't the same. I do feel bad for all the businesses that had to close and for all the people now unemployed. Take care, stay well! Wishing you a great week ahead!
ReplyDeleteStaying inside is a small price to pay for health.
ReplyDeleteI don’t miss eating out but I feel bad for staff and all workers who have no income at this time.
It's a bit shocking, every morning to wake up and remember how we're all shut inside these days. Birds fly about and sing their songs still.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see the new blooms.
ReplyDeleteThese are scary times. I do miss seeing friends.
ReplyDeleteHere too many restaurants have switched to "Take aways" This virus is terrific, the whole world for once lives exactly the same catastrophe at the same time, there is not a place in the world where the virus is not present, except in some parts of Africa, that's all !
ReplyDeleteI agree with everything you said. We've been ordering groceries online and picking them up because they're encouraging it here. And a family member is high-risk. I miss hugs and taking the dog to the dog park. We still take lots of walks and hikes, but I know he'd like to play with his doggy friends. Thanks for sharing your garden--that photo is lovely, and I'll look forward to more!
ReplyDeleteI am working at home and I sure miss going to work and talking with my fellow employees and going out to eat for lunch. On the plus side, I love the commute, I haven't bought a tank of gas since this thing started, and I find out that I love being around my family more.
ReplyDeleteI am appalled though by how unprepared our country was for this.
Oh well, we'll get through this.
