The Tennessee River is Full of water because of recent heavy rainfall. At Pickwick Dam all the spillways are open to help prevent flooding upriver. The Tennessee River flows into the Ohio River, which flows into the Mississippi River. Then the Mississippi River empties into the Gulf of Mexico at New Orleans, Louisiana.

  3. Lovely salmon and asparagus photo on the refrigerated truck, and I'd love a dinner of them tonight! We're also on the western side of the continental divide (about 5 miles up the mountain from here) so our rain will also spill down the Swannanoa to the French Broad to the Tennessee Rivers.

  7. Even on a trailer, the salmon and asparagus looks kinda tasty! I like the bluebird sitting alone on the cable, looking relaxed as it chills...the Pickwick Dam is massive and it is fulfilling its safety mission by carefully discharging water to prevent flooding. Nice choices this week!
