1. Tennessee River (Sky Watch Friday)
Tennessee River at Shiloh, Tennessee, USA, July 24, 2019
We have had sunny skies this week with cooler than normal temperatures.

2. Roadrunner (Signs, Signs)

3. Cactus Bloom (Floral Friday Fotos)
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, July 25, 2019
The Night Blooming Cactus, Epiphyllum, is a sprawling plant, but it makes up for its untidy habits by producing large blooms that open at night. My husband lit it up with a flashlight last night so I could get a good photo. The blooms are pollinated by night-flying insects, and they close up at dawn.

4. Long-legged Fly (Saturday's Critters)
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, July 9, 2019
Yes, I know that flies are pests, but when you see them up close, some of them are beautiful! And actually, the Long-legged Fly is beneficial to the garden because it eats smaller insects such as aphids, gnats, beetle larva, and smaller flies.

5. Eastern Kingbird (I'd Rather B Birdin')
Stantonville, Tennessee, USA, July 24, 2019
Eastern Kingbirds, Tyrannus tyrannus, are migratory birds we see here in North America in the Spring and Summer. They spend the Winter in South America.

Have a wonderful day!
