Wild Bird Wednesday and My Corner of the World

Shiloh, Tennessee, USA, July 4, 2019
The Wild Turkey, Meleagris gallopavo, is a large North American game bird. There are designated hunting seasons each year. As long as this one stays within the boundaries of Shiloh National Park, it is safe.

Have a wonderful day!

  1. They seem so ungainly, but I like them.

  2. There is a wild Turkey living in the city not far from me but I have yet to spot her. Apparently people are putting food out for her in their back gardens as she seems to be wandering in the lane ways and ravines.
