Wild Bird Wednesday and My Corner of the World

The Wild Turkey, Meleagris gallopavo, is a large North American game bird. There are designated hunting seasons each year. As long as this one stays within the boundaries of Shiloh National Park, it is safe.

    There is a wild Turkey living in the city not far from me but I have yet to spot her. Apparently people are putting food out for her in their back gardens as she seems to be wandering in the lane ways and ravines.
