It must have been the rain that made the snails crawl out of the grass, looking for higher ground.
There were nine snails on the top side of the bamboo cane, and when I turned it over there were six more - fifteen snails on one 8-foot piece of bamboo!

But one of the males kept swooping back and forth behind the butterfly, trying to chase it away.
Then he gave up and went to the other side of the feeder to drink.
I have 8 Hummingbird feeders so there is plenty for everyone!
Have a wonderful day!

95 degrees is too hot for me. We had a hot week too, for us in New York State. We've been thinking of setting up some hummingbird feeders now that my husband is retired. Enjoyed their interaction with the butterfly. Stay cool!
