Wildflower, December 3, 2018

All Seasons, Through My Lens, Macro Monday 2, and Our World Tuesday

Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, December 2, 2018
I was surprised to see this small wildflower blooming after we have had below freezing temperatures. I do not know its name, nor the name of the insect feeding on it. The flower is about the size of a fingernail, and the insect is really tiny with yellow stripes on its tail. Any help with identification is appreciated.

Have a wonderful week!

  4. Tiny as a fingernail, wow! You could've fooled me. It reminds of a daisy or a mustard flower.
