Mourning Dove, July 31, 2018

Wild Bird Wednesday and All Seasons

Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, July 30, 2018
The Mourning Dove, Zenaida macroura, is the most wide-spread and abundant game bird in North America. They get their name from their call: a mournful cooing. To attract them to your yard provide seed in a platform feeder or on the ground.

Have a great day!
