Limenitis arthemis astyanax, Red-spotted Purple Admiral Butterfly is named for the red spots on the undersides of its wings. I don't know why, but it spent several minutes exploring our dog's bed on the front porch.

I found this Small-eyed Sphinx Moth, Paonias myops, on the cord that supports one of my Hummingbird feeders.

    Such a lovely assortment. Lots of cities are getting into sculptures through town on a theme. We saw decorated pianos is towns in PA.

    What a great post. We haven't had rain here either. - Pretty clouds. Love those Elvis Guitar statues. Wow what a great array of butterflies. I loved that red colored Moth. - Pretty Morning Glory too.

    Pretty butterflies and moth [I have never seen one the color of such a bright orange/red]. And love the reflection of the heron...beautiful bird of course!!
