Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day January 2017

Northeast Mississippi, USA zone 7

I have several Hellebores, and they are all vigorously putting up new shoots.

And this one is advanced enough to be showing buds!

Happy Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day!

    1. In places of snow and ice, houseplants are the way to have blooms all year. But you, of course, are an OUTDOOR GUY!
      Have a wonderful day!

  2. How exciting. I checked my hellebores today. Nothing doing yet. I don't even have mine cut back yet. I usually wait until February. I do expect more severe weather. Happy GBBD.

  3. One of my two hellebores has buds (the other is a spring bloomer). Can it be that our two gardens, well over 1,000 miles apart, are similar this time? Unbeievable to me. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

  4. My hellebores aren't nearly as far along as yours! Makes up for the amaryllis blooms, I guess. :-) --- Jenny from Harmony Hills Home and Garden

  5. Your Hellebores are looking good and bring such joy to the winter garden. I purchased Hellebore 'Shooting Star'a couple of years ago and am looking forward to their blooms in February. Happy GBBD!

  10. How wonderful to see those buds on the hellebores! No blooms here, but I did notice all the big green leaves of my hellebores the other day--such a nice reminder that the garden will return soon.

  14. Oh boy....anticipation!!
Around here, it'll be Spring before y'know it. But with the hard freeze a little over a week ago, it'll be a bit later than usual.

  17. so thankful you use labels...I wanted to see what a Hellebore looks like...I started to go google and thought to see if you had used a label...so easy.

I haven't seen anything around here yet. But with as warm as this week is, we might start seeing something.
