Queen Anne's Lace,
Daucus carota, is a native of Europe and Asia that has found its way to North America where it happily grows in fields and along roadsides. Though the buds are pink, the blooms are pure white with only an occasional red spot. According to Wikipedia, when it is grown in the garden it can boost tomato production and provide a cool microclimate for lettuces. However, the USDA has classified it as a noxious weed, and it can be a serious problem in pastures.
