Another Heron, January 13-14, 2015

ABC Wednesday and Wild Bird Wednesday

A is for another, an addition - more than the former number of things
After spotting a Great Blue Heron in a drainage ditch last week, I've been keeping a close eye on the ditches.  And it has paid off!  Another Great Blue Heron! A wonderful addition to my bird photos collection.
Great Blue Heron, Ardea herodias,Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, January 11, 2015
Isn't it shameful and disgusting that people throw out their trash along the roadsides?

Such a handsome guy! or a beautiful lady! (Males and females are almost indistinguishable in appearance).

Have a wonderful day!

  2. Love your heron, we have a few here as well. You got good close up shots. It is so upsetting to see people who dump garbage, we have a park here where people just dump stuff all the time.

  4. Beautiful photos, Lea! Very sharp. I agree with you that it is disgusting that people should throw their rubbish on the road.
The blue heron is a very common bird here where I live.
I hope you have a great week.

  8. Oh my. What a beautiful, beautiful bird.
I agree with you about the rubbish - and wonder what these people's homes look like... And how they would feel if someone else trashed it.
