It is amazing, a little warm sun and out come the insects you imagine are hibernating safely somewhere. yesterday I saw a humming bird hawk moth feeding on the masses of rosemary flowers! Christina
The pansies provide such a bright spot of color. And the butterfly posed so nicely for you! I don't notice sulphur butterflies around here until the fall. Have a great week!
Lovely photos, I guess if there's food around for the insects, and warm enough, then they'll come out. I saw a bumblebee here in London in my garden in January! Needless to say all the insects have gone back to hibernation the last 4 weeks while we are in the grip of an arctic cold period. No sign of the nice spring weather we had in early January.
I have never seen a yellow butterfly like this! So beautiful in contrast with the flower! Lovely photo!
