Oxalis are blooming in the shelter of the porch.
Hundreds of different Oxalis, in various colors, grow all around the world,
and are sometimes called False Shamrocks or Wood Sorrels

Now at the beginning of Lent, the Hellebores, Lenten Rose, is at its most beautiful.
Daffodils, names unknown
Wind and rain have beat them down, but they are still very pretty,
After a week of grey skies and drizzling rain, we have sunshine!
A few years ago I planted a lot of crocus bulbs.
I think moles or voles ate most of them.
I was delighted to see that at least a few are still here.
And in the herb garden - Rosemary!

Snowdrops, crocus, lupins, pansies are some of my most liked temperate flowers. Blogging, i guess, makes a part of my consciousness be a temperate climate gardener too, at least in the head, haha! Daffodils are very beautiful looking like my Eucharis grandiflora, i wonder why i am not as smitten by it like what those enumerated plants can.
ReplyDeleteLovely spring flowers :-) I can't get enough of these bright coloured flowers at this time of year, but I am having to wait a bit for mine, it's just been so cold for such a long time that things are a bit late in my London garden. Everything is almsot there, crocuses, daffodils, hellebores and snowdrops, but not completely flowering. Soon!
ReplyDeleteExcellent photo set. We're still a few weeks away from spring flowers. Thanks for stopping by Driller's Place. Come again, anytime.
ReplyDeleteOh your hellebore leaves a just gleaming and look so healthy. My crocus are much later this year to even appear but they are very similar looking to yours.
ReplyDeleteI love oxalis. Wow, you have some huge daffodils.
ReplyDeleteI love your purple hellebore! My mom has always grown them, and I just think they are so pretty :) Your daffodils are wonderful too. Spring just makes me happy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blooms! Our oxalis, while evergreen, won't be blooming for a few weeks yet. Because we've had a cold January, our daffodils are way behind yours!
ReplyDeleteLovely! Just lovely. Especially that hellebore and your daffodils. They really do say "spring," don't they?
ReplyDeleteLea-your Daffodils and Crocus are such a pretty sight to see. I am in zone 7 too but it has been such a strange winter and I think the bulbs are going to be behind schedule...will probably see some of them in March. Thank you for stopping by to visit my gardens as well and Happy GBBD!
ReplyDeleteI just love seeing photos of Daffodils popping up as Spring approaches. How gorgeous. Not a sight you would see here, of course. Your Hellebores look lovely too.
ReplyDeleteI am partial to those miniature narcissus. Happy GBBD!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that the sun came out so you could snap some shots of your gorgeous blooms. You daffodils made me smile. Happy Garden Blogger's Bloom Day to you!
ReplyDeleteMine are sprouting..I am starting to think I planted them too deeply
ReplyDeleteOh my! You have so much in bloom. My hellebores are still sleeping. Yours are very pretty as are all of your spring blooms! Happy Bloom Day!
ReplyDeleteLovely hellebores, something I really must plant more of in my new garden. Nice to see a crocus make an appearance - I hope you get more.
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by Lea, a beautiful time of year. A nice display from you as well, I don't think that I would ever see narcissus and Rosemary in bloom at the same time in my garden.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Your lenten rose is just filled with blooms! Impressive. And I love the little narcissus, too. Happy GBBD!
ReplyDeleteWow...you have quite a few things blooming. Hopefully by next bloom day I'll have a few more. Your hellebore is beautiful. Do you know the name of it. It looks a lot like mine and I don't remember what it is.
ReplyDeleteLovely blooms Lea! I am also seeing fewer crocus blooms this year. But I think my issue is with squirrels accidently digging them up. I just love seeing all the daffodils starting to bloom in the South!
ReplyDeleteA delightful series of captures, Lea. I especially like the solid contrast provided by the oxalis against the green leafy background... and that crocus is stunning! (Thanks for dropping by my blog).
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed seeing your February blooms Lea - it looks as if spring has really arrived in your neck of the woods :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing what you have flowering at the moment. I like your Oxalis, white and dark green look so good together. Lovely to see the Daffodils in flower, mine haven't started yet!
ReplyDeleteAre these flowers blooming NOW?! We have had -15 temps. Lots of snow. I'm glad to see your flowers. Thanks for sharing them!
ReplyDeleteCheers from Cottage Country!
