Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day

The northeast corner of Mississippi, USA, zone 7b

Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, January 13, 2024
When I checked on my Hellebores buds on Saturday, it was a bright sunny day. Yesterday (Sunday) we had rain mixed with sleet. This morning we have a wintery mix of snow and sleet.

Happy Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day!

  4. A hellebore is something I've never tried. I don't really have anywhere it would be happy. Nice to have that winter bloom though.

  5. Your hellebore should be fine and hopefully, the snow (as long as it sticks around) will help shield it from the cold long enough for it to warm up again.

  6. We had snow today. I prefer it over that wintry mix.

  7. Love you Hellebores! Mine are covered with the snow from last night, which will insulate the buds for now.
