American White Pelicans,
Pelecanus erythrorhynchos, are migratory birds that breed in the northwestern United States and central Canada, but spend the Winter months in the southern parts of the United States and Mexico. Unlike Brown Pelicans who dive for fish, White Pelicans catch their food by swimming on the surface and scooping up fish with their bills. These were preening their feathers at Pickwick Lake.
Have a wonderful day!
