3. What I am Reading
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, July 31, 2020 |
I read the first of Jill Churchill's Grace and Favor Mystery series, 'Anything Goes,' several months ago. On a recent trip to the library I picked up more of them. The setting is New York during the early 1930's. You should read 'Anything Goes' first to get the background info, and then the others can be read in any order.

ReplyDeleteI love the Phlox & butterfly pic, Lea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely area to spend a hot summer day. - Gorgeous butterfly/flower shot, the books sound interesting, I love seeing deer, pretty bird, looks a bit like a robin.
ReplyDeleteWe don’t have deer on the island so this one is a treat!
ReplyDeleteLove that butterfly!
ReplyDeleteI am thrilled with this excellent photo of the animals and the landscape.
ReplyDeleteGreetings Elke
Hello, lea!
ReplyDeleteWonderful variety of photos. I like teh view of the lake. The Swallowtail butterfly is gorgeous. Cute shots of the deer and towhee. I will see if my library has that series! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Enjoy your day, have a great weekend!
The Towhees stay on the ground in the brush when I hike and I don't get many photos either. Yesterday a juvenile came up on a limb and I took photos and a video. I was excited to see one. Love that big beautiful deer too!
ReplyDeleteLot's of wonderful shots. I've only seen Black-tail and Mule deer before---Black tail are here all year round

I pick inside in the air conditioning. When Fall comes, I choose beside the lake.

A spot near the lake sounds great in any season. Cute towhee, the one hanging around here in the early spring was pretty camera shy as well. Hope you are having a fantastic weekend!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to spot a towhee. Lucky you! Thanks so much for sharing your part of the world of nature near you with us at IRBB this week. It's always appreciated.
ReplyDeleteMe again. I meant to tell you I am reading the Chet and Bernie series by Spenser Quinn. They are private investigators and it is told through the eyes of Chet---he being a dog
