Willy Nilly Friday 5, Sky Watch Friday, Floral Friday Fotos,
and on Saturday, Saturday's Critters, and I'd Rather B Birdin'

Click on the photos to see them at their best.

1. Rain (Sky Watch Friday)
Lee County, Mississippi, USA, March 24, 2020
All the streams and creeks are near to overflowing; we had 5 inches (12cm) of rain this week!

2. Good Food!
Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, March 15, 2020
At Olive Garden: Zoodles! Spiralized Zucchini, with other vegetables and grilled chicken in a creamy sauce. It was very good! And I am glad we went there before the 'shut down the restaurants' order came. They have relaxed the rules a little bit now to allow carry-out (to-go) food.

3. Kerria (Floral Friday Fotos)
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, March 21, 2020
Kerria japonica is a sprawling shrub that I will cut back as soon as the blooms fade.
(I trim them back enough that they don't block my garden path).

4. My dog, Miss B (Saturday's Critters)
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, March 25, 2020
I know one girl who is happy about the 'stay at home' order - my dog!
And did you know that having a pet to love and care for helps relieve stress?

5. Grackle (I'd Rather B Birdin')
Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, March 15, 2020
Common Grackles, Quiscalus quiscula, live in the eastern half of the continent. The northernmost birds come south to spend the Winter and return to Canada in the Spring.

Hope you are safe and healthy!

  1. ...not much rain here at the moment.
...we are 'dining in' these days.
...I love Kerria, particularly the single varieties like Golden Guinea.
...there silver lining in every storm cloud.
...I haven't seen one yet, perhaps they are still flying north.
    Thanks Lea, stay safe.

  4. I hope you can avoid flooding - that stream looks full! Hoping the worst of this bypasses you. Our restaurants have been closed except for takeout for some two weeks now. We are doing what we can here in upstate New York and watching the sky is so essential now.
