Belted Kingfishers range all across the North American continent, migrating southward in the Winter, and returning north to their breeding grounds in the Spring. But in the mid-section (the USA) they are year-round residents. As their name implies, their main food source is fish, so look for them perched near water.
Have a wonderful day!

ReplyDeleteHi, Just visited your lovely blog and found it very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI for one fear kingfishers if they make appearance in my neighborhood as they fond of fishing out all the ornamental fish in the residential pond.
Anyway Stay safe and Take care during this Pandemic global lockdown
