Black Vultures, March 18, 2020

Wild Bird Wednesday and My Corner of the World

Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, February 22, 2020
Black Vultures, Coragyps atratus, feed on carrion which they locate by sight while floating around in the sky almost effortlessly with only occasional wing flaps. I saw these birds feeding beside the road on a deer that had been hit and killed by a car

Have a blessed day!

"For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7

  3. We have Turkey Vultures here. Are they the same? I thing the TV has a reddish head. They do float effortlessly in the sky. Interesting to watch

  4. What interesting birds! They are quite unusual for me as we don't have anything like them here in New Zealand.

Thanks for your contribution to 'My Corner of the World' this week!
