Mud puddling, and ordering potatoes from your couch. A nice way to start the day.
ReplyDelete...your weather is similar to ours.
ReplyDelete...clever sign.
...I've only seem a field of cotton once, but never seen it baled up.
...what a cluster of butterflies.
...the pelican does seem interested in having it's picture taken.
Thanks Lea for,stopping!
That's the first time I've seen cotton like that (baled) and I hope it's not still picked by hand.
ReplyDeleteThe newest cotton picking machines pick it and bale it, and deposit it in the field. Then a tractor moves them all into one place, and another tractor with a lift on the front loads the bales on an 18-wheeler's trailer.
DeleteThe only time you see hand-picked cotton is at Heritage Day Festivals where they have a small cotton field planted for children to pick a few bolls as souvenirs to take home with them.
I order my potatoes from my couch. Best thing ever!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great post. The cotton field is a rare sight for me. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog, Lea. So much going on. Never have seen Butterflies at a conference before---neat!

The butterfly pic is fabulous, Lea!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and unusual to see all those butterfly's on the ground. Great photo! It will be interesting to see if online shopping becomes our new "normal" way to do the grocery shopping. I've never tried it for groceries.
ReplyDeleteCotton is a sight quite unfamiliar to me.
ReplyDeleteTerrific shots, especially the butterflies all puddling. It is great to see so many getting their mineral requirements.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the cotton fields and those big bales of cotton! And those butterflies are unreal! I've never seen anything like them! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific post. So much to see! (Our cotton is harvested in July!!)
ReplyDeleteWe all appreciate your linking in with us at I'd Rather B Birdin this week. Have a super day.
Would love to see a pelican,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteHello, it is neat to see the cotton fields, we do not see them here. WOW, that is a lot of butterflies. The White Pelican is my favorite, great sighting. Sorry, I am late visiting your post. Thank you so much for linking up and sharing your critters. I hope you have a happy day and weekend ahead.
