At least you still had plants to freeze. Here they are already buried beneath the snow.
ReplyDeleteHello, pretty blooms. We have had a few mornings in the low 20's. Enjoy your day, have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely little plant.
ReplyDeleteI do love oxalis in all its variations. We didn't get nearly as cold as you, but on our coldest night, we did get down to 28. It was enough to put most of my blooms to rest as well.
ReplyDeleteNice shot. Sad when the frost bites all the flowers---that is Nature though

Does that Oxalis come back from its roots in the spring? I have a potted purple one, which comes inside every winter...and just keeps on living (as long as I remember to fertilize it a few times a year.)
ReplyDeleteThey are nice looking blooms.
ReplyDeleteYour weather sounds cold!
Keep warm.
All the best Jan
We in upstate New York expect these temperatures but not so soon - so we were prepared. 21, yikes. I hope your oxalis will come back from the roots - I'm not sure how hardy the roots are, though. I have a pot we bring in for the winter and the oxalis in it goes dormant - to our surprise it (a red one) came back this year. The pot is inside again, and has gone dormant.
ReplyDeleteQuite pretty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Oxalis,Happy Blogger Blooms day.
ReplyDeleteThe Oxalis is lovely and it’s good you got a picture! It did get cold very quickly here as well with the first frost just a few days ago. Predictions are calling for a rough winter. Hopefully they’re wrong! Happy Bloom Day!
