and on Saturday, Saturday's Critters, and I'd Rather B Birdin'
1. Cooler temperatures! (Sky Watch Friday)
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, June 12, 2019 |
It is either a powered parachute or a powered paraglider. I don't know the difference between the two terms.
2. Favorite Photos of the Week
Canada Geese, Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, June 9, 2019 |
Come on in! The water is fine!

3. Farming
Lee County, Mississippi, USA, June 13, 2019 |
This is the first year I have seen farmers bundle a lot of bales together...
… and load them on a truck with a fork-lift, though it may be more common in other parts of the country.
4. Butterfly (Saturday's Critters)

ReplyDeleteIt is cool here too today but heat is coming back our way. Great photos as always.
ReplyDeleteNice shots. The baby goslings are getting big.

That Skipper looks fierce! Love the goose family!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots of the geese.
ReplyDeleteThat is indeed a paraglider.
There just start to cut hay here.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
I enjoy seeing the geese with their young. Hay around here is always in giant rolls. Rare to see hay bales, anymore.
ReplyDeleteIt's been so wet here. I wonder when the farmers will be able to cut hay. AT least we haven't flooded like the Midwest. Send a tiny (just a tiny) bit of that heat here?
ReplyDeleteCool looking power glider! Yes, that butterfly looks formidable! Does it have a double set of wings? Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteSilver-spotted Skippers tend to hold their forewings and hindwings at different angles instead of together as other butterflies do. They do look like extra wings, especially when viewed from the front!
DeleteHave a great weekend!
The longer wing is the forewing; the shorter wing with the silver spot is the hindwing.
DeleteLove the gosling and the skipper!
ReplyDeleteHello, nice variety of photos. I love the gosling and Phoebe. The Skipper is a great capture. Thanks for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your day and weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat butterfly is amazing! Love those baby Geese too! Fun pics for critters! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, those goslings and the phoebe are awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us at I'd Rather B Birdin' this week!
The Eastern Phoebe is a very nice looking bird.
