Camera Critters and Saturday's Critters
White-Tailed Deer, Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, November 23, 2015
This deer standing beside the road seemed as much interested in me as I was in it. Notice how it is using the shadow of a tree to keep the sun out of its eyes (just as we would) to see better.

Hope you have a beautiful week-end!

  5. So nice to see this pretty deer after so many road kills in our area as they are on the run during hunting season.

  6. How pretty! One thing I've noticed with my goats is that their ears make perfect sun visors for them. Of course, it's hard to get good pictures without shadows, but I'm sure it is good for them.

  7. Deer have to be very observant and clever to stay away from predators. - Margy

  8. Merry Christmas, Lea!

I love Bambi, as long as they aren't eating my mountain laurels!

  10. Neat shot, and so perceptive to point out that the deer made up for lacking sunglasses!
