Spring is here! The Ornamental Pear trees are beginning to bloom, but other (more prudent) trees are waiting awhile. The evergreen trees in the background are Pines. This fence is at least twice as long as the section you see here, and looks good in all seasons.

ReplyDeleteLovely! Ornamental pears used to be hugely popular in Virginia but less so now. I think the ice storms are very hard on them.

Beautiful pear trees! We have one here in S CA that usually blooms in late February, but not to this extent!!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Our pear trees are blooming in western TN, too - in fact the flowers are falling off and the green leaves are showing through. Happy Spring!

DeleteIt is planted just for its beauty. The 'pear' fruit itself is very small and enjoyed by the birds only.
Oh yes those pear tree blooms are lovely. That is a great looking white fence too.

Yes, I love this time of year, with the daily walks around the yard to see what all is up, and how much plants have grown. Still, I think my favorite time is when there are lots of blooms and pollinators enjoying them.
