I am thankful we live within easy driving distance of the Tennessee River. There are several excellent places to eat lunch, and we enjoy watching the river traffic.
This is Tennessee Valley Towing's "Addi Belle" pushing its barges upriver towards Pickwick Lock and Dam.

I remember many pleasant hours watching the river when I was growing up in that area.
