Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day, March 2024

The northeast corner of Mississippi, USA zone 7b

I have three colors of Wild Violets.

.

These came up through the straw that I use to protect my Elephant Ears during the Winter.

Spring Snowflakes, Leucojum vernum

Most of my Daffodils bloomed halfway between Bloom Days, but I still have a few.

.

Our Pear Trees are blooming!

I know this small tree is a type of Magnolia, but I am not sure which one it is.

Flowering Almond is a small ornamental shrub.

Spirea

Kerria japonica

I am not sure that the Maple Tree seed pods qualify as blooms, but they are as pretty as any bloom I have!

Happy Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day!

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"Know ye that the Lord he is God; it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful unto Him and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endures to all generations" Psalm 100:3-5

  1. So nice to get a sneak preview of what will be blooming in the coming weeks. Your pear and spirea, especially, are so pretty. I think it's fine to include the maple seed pods - after all they came from flowers.

  5. Everything is lovely. It looks like spring is in full bloom there. We are not far behind, but some cool weather in the next week will slow things down. Those Magnolias are magical...well, all the blooms are. :)

  9. Beautiful! I'm very fond of wild violets too, I have the ordinary blue and white ones (Viola blanda) natural to my area, and I planted some 'Queen Charlotte' ones that are spreading. Happy GBBD!
