A favorite winter bird. They were abundant all year round in Florida, especially in winter when northern birds migrated in. Here in Connecticut we have one pair which has persisted here so far this winter.

The male Cardinal is such a stunning bird! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThey are great buddies, aren't they? One of only a few species that are with us year-round, here in my S. Wisconsin garden. They are active even on the very cold days. Beautiful birds and beautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteOur Northern Cardinals (New York) bring such a wonderful spot of color in our often dreary winter skies. Loved your photo.
