Winter flowers! Lucky you.
ReplyDeleteSnow? No, they don't phase hellebore at all. The buds of mine survived a 5 above night this winter although, truth to tell, they were buried under a couple of feet of snow. I did enjoy seeing your sugar frosted forest.
ReplyDeleteNo flowers out here!
ReplyDeleteI see a lot of gardeners have hellebore. Never had it myself. Does add something to winter though.
ReplyDelete...you have more snow that we do. My helleborus are nice and green, but no buds.
ReplyDeleteThe snow is pretty to look at, Lea, even if it puts a damper on flower output. We've got summer-like temperatures here on the west coast - it's 88F right now (20 degrees above average!). I've got a fair number of flowers but no hellebore buds yet.
ReplyDeleteStunning hellebores. I wish to experience snow clad plains like this some day .
ReplyDeleteIt would be my pleasure if you join my link up party related to gardening here at http://jaipurgardening.blogspot.com/ .
Trees in the snow, always good to see lovely images like this one. Nice to see winter colour also.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing these blooms! Thanks for linking up!
