Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day December 2017

Northeast Mississippi, USA zone 7

After our nighttime temperatures dropped to 21F (-6C) I was afraid I would not find any blooms. But I did - a wildflower blooming in the shelter of our porch!

Foliage Follow-Up Day
And when I checked the Hellebores, I found new growth - a promise of blooms to come!

Happy Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day!

  1. It's 7 above right now with some snow on the ground, so nothing in bloom outdoor - the Christmas Rose has buds but I wasn't going to go out there. Enjoyed your wildflower. Happy GBBD!

  2. ...sounds like it's been COLD everywhere.

  3. hello, it is great seeing the new growth. Pretty bloom! Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!

  4. Keep warm! Thank goodness for the precious winter bloomers that see us through the darkest time of year!

  5. I wonder if my hellebores have any new growth. Happy Bloom Day!~~Dee

  6. I like the little wildflower peeking up from a sheltered place. The Helebores are fun to look forward to at this time of year and it’s nice to see new growth in the cold of winter. Keep warm!

  7. Am glad i am not living in a country with negative temperatures, i might not be able to stand it. That plant is stronger than I am.

  8. I hope there are a lot more blooms coming your way in the new year!
