Mourning Dove, March 25, 2017

Saturday's Critters, Camera Critters, and I'd Rather B Birdin'

Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, January 14, 2017
Mourning Dove, Zenaida macroura.
I almost forgot I had these Dove photos. I had computer problems that lasted most of February. Finally, I gave it up as a lost cause and got another computer. Thankfully, the computer guy was able to copy my photos from the dead computer to an external hard drive. And here they are - my Dove photos!

The pear trees have budded and bloomed since I made these photos in January.

Have a wonderful week-end!

  1. Hello Sweet doves. So glad your photos were able to be retrieved and saved. Thank you for linking up and saving your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

  2. ...I can almost hear it cooing.

  3. Love the dove photos. We have doves nesting in our pear trees every year, too. Love to hear their cooing.
    Have a great weekend!

  4. Nice shots of the Mourning dove---Hoo hoo--they sound like Owls.
Our pear tree is just budded up with fat buds---not flowering yet.

  5. Hi Lea-
Beautiful birds and nice snaps. We get these guys in our front yard these days. We are thrilled.
    Thank you for your visit.

    Have a Happy Weekend, Pat!
    Peace :)

  6. I think doves appear to be such a gentle, sweet your captures.

  8. We have doves in our yard a lot, too. They don't stick around for me to take photos when I go out, though. I'm glad you were able to recover your photos when you had to get a new computer. We sure depend on our machines, don't we?

  9. Hello!:) Wonderful captures of the Mourning Dove, a lovely bird!:)
We see Collard Doves in our garden, but they are so shy that I can't get decent shots of them. Well done, for these lovely images.:)

  10. So soft and pretty. Mourning doves were our wake up call earlier in the mockingbirds have taken over. Either of them sure beat the jangle of an alarm clock!

  11. So glad you didn't lose your photos! The dove is gorgeous!

I enjoy your comments!
