Cows and Ducks, March 18, 2017

Saturday's Critters, Camera Critters, and I'd Rather B Birdin'

Saturday's Critters and Camera Critters
Hardin County, Tennessee, USA, March 6, 2017
My question is, "How did that cow get up on the hay trailer?"

I'd Rather B Birdin'
Ring-necked Ducks
Prentiss County, Mississippi, USA, February 19, 2017
It has been suggested that Ring-necked Ducks should be called Ring-billed Ducks as the white ring on the bill is much more visible than the chestnut neck ring. The black and white birds are the males; the brown ones are females.

Have a great week-end!

    1. By the way, on the male there IS a purple ring around their necks. Seen if the light is just right.

  6. as for the ducks - it's kinda' like the red bellied woodpecker. his belly is red, but his head is red-er. best not to mess with things. both images are beautiful!!!!

  7. Hello, I always thought the same thing with the name of these ducks. Ring-billed sounds more like it. Cool shot of the cattle! Thank you so much for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy day and new week ahead!

  9. Had to smile at the first image. Makes me miss my bovine. They can jump when motivated, and food is a really good motivator!
