Mockingbird, May 7, 2016

Saturday's Critters, Camera Critters and I'd Rather B Birdin'

Pickwick, Tennessee, USA, April 4, 2016
The Northern Mockingbird is the state bird of Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas. They are loved for their wonderful singing, being able to imitate many other bird songs.

Just as I clicked the shutter, it leaned over to peck at someting on the rocks. I have a good laugh whenever I get a bird butt photo!

Have a wonderful week-end!

  9. Mockingbirds were unknown in northern New Jersey when I was a child, and I was thrilled to see my first one when we visited relatives in Maryland. Now they overrun my old home!

  10. Ha! Great shot. They're all over the neighborhood in D.C., but I haven't been able to get anything good this year.
