A U-Turn in the Sky, December 13, 2013

December 11, 2013, Lee county, Mississippi, USA
After five days of a cold, drizzling rain, we are rejoicing in sunny skies.
Evergreen trees, hardly noticed in Summer, are really appreciated now that Winter is here.

Despite the cold and rain, there are still a few colorful leaves holding on to the pear tree.

Have a beautiful week-end!

  3. I was thinking “U Turn” when I looked at the first shot, too. Unusual. Tgw skies are so blue and beautiful.

  4. The contrail looks like a heart, I guess there were some interesting winds aloft that day. Most of our trees are completely naked ...

  5. HA! Sure looks like a U-turn --good catch. Those leaves must be the last of the holdouts, but still some color; nicely composed image!
