Our World Tuesday and Ruby Red Tuesday April 9, 2013

On March 23 my husband and I went to the Memphis Area Master Gardeners Spring Fling
in Memphis, Tennessee, USA.

Gardeners were displaying their best photos.

There were hundreds of wonderful Arts and Crafts for sale.

Some lucky birds will have beautiful mansions to nest in.
But seriously now, would you hang these works of art out in the weather?

Wheeled shelves of plants for sale were parked wherever space could be found.

Isn't this a beauty!

There was a booth promoting recycling.
The back of his shirt says it all: "Don't Trash Our Future - Recycle"

To clean up the Junk Yards - make Yard Art!

Isn't this the most beautiful way you have ever seen to recycle light bulbs?

This 'Salad Bowl' was one of the door prizes.
We didn't win it, but we didn't go home empty-handed.
I bought a cookbook, and we won a rain gauge and a Frisbee.

Hope you are having a Beautiful Tuesday!

  1. What a creative way to recycle light bulbs. Don’t quite know how this is done without breaking the glass but they do look decorative filled with a bit of water and a plant.

  7. Fun! I love to go to garden events-they inspire me to get out and plant!
It's fun to see how creative people are with recycled art!

Thanks for your comment on my blog- I accidently tapped the wrong button on my phone and rejected it though ;)

  8. Neat stuff. I love those little yard art animals.

I'd be afraid I'd break the light bulbs.

  9. Wow, what a great way to spend a day. Spring craft fairs are just around the corner for us as well.

  10. Actually I was there and bought a car load of plants. When you buy from Master Gardener folks it's cheaper and more like getting pass-along plants. Maybe one day we'll meet!
