I LOVE the little flowers. try to pick them before mowing...

We delay the mowing as long as possible. In fact, we don't mow these wildflowers until I get to thinking there might be snakes hiding in there!

I've always thought those were kin to african violets
ReplyDeletepretty
Hi Ramona,
Delete"African Violet" is a misnomer. They are not violets; however, they do come from Africa. African Violets are not related to the Violas (other than all plants are distantly related). Both beautiful plants, of course, each in its own way.
Have a wonderful day!

ReplyDeleteI love the little violas, so pretty. I'm look forward to when the sweet violets appear in the spring in banking under the hedges, I especially like the blue ones.
ReplyDeleteI know it's trite, but good things come in small packages! Such pretty little flowers.
ReplyDeleteJust LOVED the quote..it works so wonderfully with your pansy, but I couldn't help but think of how well it would have worked with my last post of tiny wildflowers in the desert! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the violas, and would love to have them wild in my yard....the exact opposite of the problem my parents have just 20 miles away. :)
ReplyDeleteI love these little flowers, so delicate.
ReplyDeleteThey might be small but they are beautiful!
